Back on the podium!
The fifth round of the Enduro World Series in Aspen, USA brings Jérôme on his race level! These 2 day of racing match with Jérôme’s style of ride, with long descents and demanding stages in high altitude. He ends up 3rd really happy to be in the first spots!
Jérôme: « I manage to find my race pace even with the altitude which push your body on his limits all the time. I lost a little bit of air on the 1st stage and it gave me the motivation to fight to come back. After the first day of race, I was 5th and I knew that I could reach the podium by handling well the longest stage of day 2. I am super happy of my 3rd position! »
Jérôme lost a little bit of air on stage 1 and had to fix his tire during the liaison. But he stayed calm and kept going : that is experience! He wanted to catch some time on stage 2 and he knew that stage 3 will be also crucial. And he was right because he done it well : it was a long descent of 1000 meters drop with physical sections and the last part was rough. At the end of the day he sit into 5th and was happy of his day.
Day 2 of racing was in the bike park of Snowmass and Jérome doesn’t really like the asepticized trails. Nevertheless he also realized that the podium would be close…He decided to ride well and to give everything he has on stage 4 which was the most physical of the day. His strategy gives up as he put an incredible time and finished 2nd of the stage, so he bumped up into the 3rd place. Two more stages to go on more fast ones. Jérôme pushed hard to maintain his 3rd position!
At the end of the week-end, he was super excited to end up in 3rd position!
